Highway Safety Manual and Road Safety Audits - Fairbanks

Fairbanks Workshop

This interactive brown bag workshop will be presented by Beth Wemple and Gary Katsion of Kittelson & Associates, Inc. The presentation will provide an overview of both the Highway Safety Manual (HSM) as well as Road Safety Audits (RSA). The HSM, which is due to be published later this year, is intended to provide practitioners with the best factual information and tools to facilitate roadway design and operation decisions based on explicit consideration of their safety consequences. A RSA is a formal safety performance examination of an existing or planned facility; the emphasis of the RSA must be to identify opportunities to improve safety rather than critique work previously completed.

We hope you can join us for this informative workshop as Beth & Gary share a variety of examples and key information on these two important topics. There is no cost to attend this brown bag lunch session and beverages will be provided. The workshop is equal to 2.0 professional development hours (PDH).
