One of Kittelson's leading roundabout experts, Lee Rodegerdts, PE, will be in Southeast Florida to discuss modern roundabouts. Specifically, Lee will talk about how roundabouts are being used around the United States, update the attendees on the most recent roundabout practices, and will discuss potential ways that roundabouts can be integrated into the transportation network throughout Southeast Florida.

About the Speaker

Lee Rodegerdts, PE
Associate Engineer, Kittelson & Associates, Portland, Oregon

Lee has 19 years of broad experience in traffic operations, traffic design, transportation planning, and transportation research and education. Lee’s experience with roundabouts ranges from feasibility studies, concept designs, and peer reviews to preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates, as well as post-construction field reviews. He is an internationally recognized leader on roundabouts, having served as lead author for NCHRP Report 672, Roundabouts: An Informational Guide, Second Edition; NCHRP Report 572, Roundabouts in the United States; and the roundabout chapters in the Highway Capacity Manual 2010. He has been actively engaged with the United States Access Board on accessibility issues at roundabouts and is currently leading a task force for the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) to develop practical guidance for practitioners on the topic. He is a member of the TRB Committee on Highway Capacity and Quality of Service, the TRB Roundabout Task Force, and the roundabout task force of the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and has taught over 50 short courses on roundabouts throughout North America and overseas.
