This workshop will present an overview of the new Alaska Traffic Manual, published in January 2012. The workshop will cover the major changes introduced at the national level between the 2003 and 2009 editions of the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, followed by the corresponding modifications made within the Alaska Traffic Manual to be specific to Alaska.

About the Speakers:
Jeff Jeffers, P.E.

Mr. Jeffers continuously strives to develop and implement policy and standards on traffic safety, operation, and traffic control devices. His responsibility includes the Alaska Traffic Manual or ATM (comprised of the MUTCD and the Alaska Traffic Manual Supplement), Alaska Sign Design Specifications Manual, traffic-related standard drawings, and the Alaska Highway Safety Improvement Program Handbook.
