KAI's Transportation Education Series provides interactive presentation sessions intended to promote professional development and advancements in transportation engineering and planning.
TRB is hosting a webinar on March 9th regarding the recent release of Report 672: Roundabouts: An Informational Guide—Second Edition. You have two great ways to participate in this overview:
No Cost: Join us at our Portland office to listen in on the program which will be run live for a group of interested participants.
Cost: If you are interested in the topic, but unable to join us at the office, you may also register through TRB. The cost is $99.
Roundabouts are a common form of intersection control used throughout the world and are increasingly used in the United States. The information supplied in TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 672 builds extensively on the ï¬rst edition published in 2000 by the Federal Highway Administration and is based on established and emerging U.S. practices and recent research. The guide continues to be comprehensive in recognition of the diverse needs of transportation professionals and the public for introductory material, planning and design guidance, operational and safety performance evaluation techniques, construction and maintenance information, and the wide range of potential applications of roundabouts. The objective of this webinar is for participants to gain an understanding of the contents of the second edition of the roundabouts guide. Presenters will focus on changes that have been made in the new guide from the first edition.
