KAI's Transportation Education Series provides interactive presentation sessions intended to promote professional development and advancements in transportation engineering and planning.
We are excited to announce a new Development Services-focused seminar entitled “The Transportation Element of the Development Dealâ€.
Please join us as our presenters, Brian Dunn and Diego Arguea, share their expertise on new and innovative ways our firm adds value at all stages of the land development process.
This May 6th session is our first of a three-part series where we will address critical topics and questions arising during the first stage of the land development process:
Stage 1: Due Diligence
• How do I discover potential fatal flaws lurking on or near my site?
• Can I even get the access I want?
• My land use is unique; does it really generate that many trips?
• Is a traffic study even necessary?
• What’s happening around the site I’m interested in?
• And what exactly is my Traffic Impact Fee (TIF) going to be?
We will cover these topics and more….so bring your own stories, experiences… to share, exchange with us!
This TES is uniquely tailored for our private sector clients and teaming partners, consisting of a wide pool of developers, brokers, architects, planners, engineers, and land use attorneys. Through these seminars, audience members will find that getting KAI involved early in the process adds value in the following meaningful ways:
Although this first session is directed at our clients and partners, we will be inviting and integrating public agency staff into our next two sessions later in 2015: Stage 2: Land Use Submittal-Approval, and Stage 3: Design-Construction.
Schedule:
7:30 - 8:00 a.m. - Check-in/Breakfast
8:00 - 10:00 a.m. – TES Session (Stage 1: Due Diligence)
10:00 - 10:15 a.m. - Question & Answer
Participants will earn a total of 2.0 professional development hours (PDH) for attending this workshop. There is no cost to attend this workshop and breakfast will be provided.
If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact Norma Jensen at (503) 228-5230 or njensen@kittelson.com
We look forward to seeing you there!
