KAI's Transportation Education Series provides interactive presentation sessions intended to promote professional development and advancements in transportation engineering and planning.
More electric vehicles are coming! Within 1-2 years it is expected that operational costs associated with a zero emissions vehicle (ZEV) will be on par or even lower than costs associated with an internal combustion engine (ICE). And the recently adopted federal infrastructure bill places an even stronger focus on incentives for encouraging electric vehicle adoption.
On December 14 and 16, we're holding TES events for our colleagues and friends in the Pacific Northwest. These presentations and discussions will cover the state of practice with EVs and ZEVs, how Oregon is setting national leadership through the Transportation Electrification Infrastructure Needs Analysis (TEINA) project, and practical considerations for private and public organizations in light of the infrastructure bill. This event will focus on funding opportunities and analysis and policy elements to incorporate into long range transportation and comprehensive plans. PDH credit will be offered.
